Winkel – Giclée’s + zeefdruk (EN)

Of a large amount of paintings giclees were manufactured.

The giclee is a very high quality reproduction of an original that is produced in limited editions. Giclee comes from the French verb ‘gicler’ which means rays or spraying. With this technique high quality ink is applied in several color layers on special fine art paper. A giclee reproduction is a beautiful and affordable alternative that is able to convey the feeling and appearance of the original perfectly. The giclee art print is a contemporary publishing medium that meets the high standards of the artist, museums and art collectors. Therefor the giclee art print was able to conquer an equal place among the more common traditional graphic techniques such as etching, serigraphy and stone lithography.

The giclees of Fred Breebaart are made in a limited editions on 280 grams fine art etching paper. The combination of paper and pigment ink make for a livelong lasting artwork that doesn’t discolor over time.
